Welcome to the academic year 2018-2019, and the return of the Wildwood Newsletter! Our newsletter will arrive in your inbox every Saturday morning, packed with valuable information about school events, opportunities of engagement at Wildwood, community events etc…
TO OUR NEW FAMILIES: WELCOME TO WILDWOOD!
Wildwood Elementary School is a wonderful community with vibrant parent/guardian involvement. The Wildwood Parent Guardian Organization (PGO) is comprised of volunteers who donate their time and talent to enrich the school. Our mission is to build a strong community, and support enrichment and equity for all children at Wildwood. We support teachers and staff so they can provide the best elementary school experience for all students. We also stage a variety of fun events, both child and adult-focused, throughout the year. Supporting and helping at these events is a great way to become more involved in the school, meet other parents and keep up to date with the Wildwood community.
We personally invite you to become involved at Wildwood. Your contribution, whether it is time, knowledge, or resources make a big difference. Thank you for helping in any way you can, and showing your children the importance you place on their education!
Contact us anytime at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have something you would like to share with our community, be it school news, teacher wishlist requests, PGO or school event information, as well as community events you think our WW families will enjoy. We encourage your input. Our best to everyone navigating the transition back to school, see you online!

In an effort to keep fundraising equitable, non-competitive and stress-free, the PGO holds two Brown Envelope Fundraisers per year. Both fundraisers correspond with broader Pioneer Valley community fundraising drives: Giving Tuesday in December and Valley Gives in May. Many people ask what the PGO does and why they should contribute so this year the PGO leadership invites you to share why you value the PGO. We plan to share these testimonials with the greater Wildwood community. Please share what the PGO means to you by April 15, 2018

This week, the ARPS PGO was awarded a Community Choice Grant of $1413.00 from Florence Bank. The money will be used to support PGO initiatives within our member schools. Thank you to all who voted for us.
Congrats to the almost 60 nonprofits in our community who also received grants through this annual program. Since the Community Choice Grants program started 16 years ago, Florence Bank has given away more than $1 million to community non-profits.

Do you have Ziploc baggies of Box Tops sitting in the junk drawer that you’ve been meaning to send in? NOW IS THE TIME!
Did you know each Box Top coupon you clip and donate to Wildwood School is worth 10 cents that will go straight towards funding events to benefit our students and staff?
Visit http://www.boxtops4education.com/earn/participating-products for a complete list of participating brands. It’s fun to involve your whole family and be sure to ask grandparents or friends to clip and share too! A collection container is always available in the main school office (it’s a bin right under the PGO mailbox!)
Please keep a bag in your kitchen so it’s easy to collect the Box Tops you clip. Children can be taught at a very young age to identify, clip, and count Box Tops. The coupons can be found on many quality products from brands like:
- General Mills
- Cascadian Farms
- Betty Crocker
Please send any Box Tops that you have collected NOW! Our spring deadline is looming and they do eventually expire, so send in what you have and please keep clipping! Thanks so much for your support
