Wildwood Family Stories Project

Dear Wildwood Families,

As shared in Thursday’s assembly the Wildwood Family Stories Project is now officially launched and has three new interviews conducted by two fifth graders and one fourth grader. Any Wildwood family member can have access to these stories, and ones that are uploaded in the future, by creating a StoryCorps account at this link: wwstrong. By completing this simple form you will automatically become a member of the WW StoryCorps community. My goal is to have this library of stories convey our common humanity and an appreciation of our rich diversity to our students, families and staff. The three stories that have been uploaded take place in very different locations, Haiti, Egypt, and  New York state during World War II, during different times, but the love of family and the essence of being a child come through.

You and your family are also invited to record your own in-person interview by using the StoryCorps app on your phone. Here are instructions: app. You can also interview someone at a distance using StoryCorps Connect. There is a sample list of questions at the Wildwood Community site. Recording a conversation with a loved one is a great way to stay connected during the present time while creating memories for your family.

Your Principal,
Nick
