Over the fall, the Fort River School Building Committee has continued to make progress with its feasibility study. The designers, TSKP Studio, have been attending the committee’s meeting and have come up with a series of design proposals for Fort River that encompass a wide range of options: new construction, different degrees of addition renovation (from 50% new, down to 10% new). All these satisfy the educational programming needs from the school and include a range of possible heating and cooling options and take into account the Zero Energy Bylaw from the Town.
There are two opportunities this week to learn more about the feasibility study. These meetings are unrelated to the MSBA statement of interest process.
On March 4th at 12 pm at the Town Room (Town Hall), there is a community meeting for the architects to present the options they have been working on with the committee and to ask for feedback from the community.
On March 7th at 3:15 pm, please join members of the committee at the Wildwood Music Room for an informational meeting and informal discussion about the work of the committee and the options developed.
The committee and designer’s work, along with other documents, can be found here. If you would like to be notified about upcoming meetings and receive press releases directly to your inbox, you can join the listserv by signing up through the webpage.
