Building an Amherst Makers Community


Ever heard of the “Arduino”? It’s a cool computer board that you can program to make really neat projects with blinking LED lights, or even wearable computing clothes!

On Friday, Saturday and Sunday, January 17th, 18th and 19th, ARMS, UMass Amherst, Pioneer Valley Open Science, Amherst Media, HackerFarm, PolarHack and others are teaming up to hold a weekend­long Beginning Arduino “Makerspace” workshop for kids and adults. The event will be held at Amherst Media, 246 College Street, Amherst, MA over three days (although Friday and Sunday are optional).
